Busia Community Library


This is the main library for the Busia community. It is a branch of the KNLS. The library is located near the town center making it easily accessible by many. The library serves a large number of nearby schools. It receives support from a various NGOs.

They have an impressive collection of quality books, probably the best we have seen so far. Their computer lab is also of great quality, unfortunately they have some funding difficulties getting an Internet connection going consistently.

Library context This is the main library of Busia. It is a branch of the KNLS (Kenya National Library Service).

This library has an impressive collection of recent books. It also has a good number of decent computers which are unfortunately not connected to the Internet anymore. The library has dificulties generating enough revenues to keep an active Internet connection.
