Getting There: Nairobi → Makindu
The DCHLK in Makindu is about 170 km southeast of Nairobi. The whole drive follows the A109 Nairobi–Mombasa Highway.
- Leave Nairobi on Mombasa Road (A109), heading toward Athi River / Machakos / Mombasa.
- Continue straight through Athi River.
- Stay on the A109 and pass Machakos Junction.
- Continue through Sultan Hamud.
- Keep going through Emali.
- Continue past Kiboko.
- After Kiboko, continue toward Makindu. The highway runs right through the town.
